Answers1. How much can I borrow?You are not actually borrowing money from us. Instead, we are purchasing a portion of your anticipated recovery from a settlement and/or a lawsuit. The amount that you will receive is based on several factors which can be determined only after we review your case.There are no fees for an initial consultation and you may begin the process by completing our online application. 2. How does this all work?After receiving your application form we contact your attorney in order to request information on your case. Once we receive the information, our underwriting department evaluates your case and determines whether to approve the purchase and the amount of the approval. As soon as it is approved and the documents executed, we will forward a check to you, or transfer the amount directly into your bank account. There is no need to appear personally. Everything is being done through fax, mail, or e-mail.3. How do you (CLF) get paid?We receive payment directly from your attorney or the party who is responsible for paying the settlement (in many cases this is the insurance company). You do not have to pay any monthly payments to CLF. CLF gets paid only at the end of your case.4. When and how will I get paid?Usually within a couple of working days after the approval of our underwriting department (see answer #2, above) we send out to your attorney the documents for execution. As soon as we get them back properly executed, we mail you a check or transfer the amount directly to your bank account, as instructed by you.5. Is my information safe?Yes. We keep all of your information strictly confidential and will not share it with other parties outside our company without first obtaining your consent, unless we are legally ordered to do so.
